About Wolverhampton Racecourse

Wolverhampton Racecourse held its first meeting at its site on August 13th 1888. In 1994 HRH Queen Elizabeth II re-opened the new Wolverhampton Racecourse. Now owned by the largest racecourse operator in the UK, Arena Racing Wolverhampton, Britain’s first floodlit racecourse, now welcomes 120,000 visitors each year across 80 race fixtures, music live events and conferences.

The campaign

SeeLocal created a set of search and display ads for each gig that helped entice potential local customers to the events. The sophisticated platform and targeting technology showed the ads to relevant potential attendees within the locality of the events and retargeted those who had previously visited the site. CampaignGuard made sure every pound spent was used wisely to target relevant consumers and monitor the ads efficacy

Campaign goals

Here are the main goals that Wolverhampton Racecourse wanted to achieve with their SeeLocal campaign:

Promote their Madness concert

Generate event ticket sales

Publicise their Jess Glynne concert

Campaign results

Who better to describe the campaign than Kerry, Wolverhampton Racecourse’s Marketing manager. Kerry says:

“We had amazing results working with SeeLocal when promoting our Madness and Jess Glynne summer concerts. By using CampaignGuard it ensured that our adverts were being pushed to the relevant audience and that our cost per click was as low as it could be, making sure that we weren’t spending money in areas that were not beneficial to us. We had over 600 conversions in just three months which was absolutely incredible. The campaign exceeded our expectations and I will definitely be using them again.”
